In order for a company to operate successfully, it must have a competitive product and/or service, good credit rating and professional management. A comparative analysis of the financial results of the operations of public companies in the FBIH shows significantly worse business results than the operations of the entire economy of the FBIH in 2021 and 2022. In this regard, conditions have not been created for their sustainable operations in the short or long term. The paper points out the state of yield, property and financial position of public companies, which in the conditions of greater financial discipline and hard budget restrictions would call into question the sustainability of their operations.
