ABSTRACT
ARTICLE INFO
The paper analyzes the performance of companies listed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange in the period from 2019 to 2022. In the
first part of the paper, the relationship between the profitability and growth of the company, as well as the most important indicators of
profitability and growth, the methodology of their application and reference values, were pointed out from a theoretical perspective. In
the second part of the paper, a trend analysis and correlation analysis between profitability indicators and company growth indicators
was carried out. Profitability was measured on the basis of return on assets and return on equity, while company growth was observed
on the basis of changes in assets and changes in sales revenue. The results indicate that companies on average achieve positive rates
of profitability, but that the average values at the level of the group of observed companies are significantly below the reference values.
Furthermore, the results indicate a positive growth trend in terms of changes in assets and changes in sales revenue. Correlation analysis
indicates the existence of a positive relationship between profitability and growth, which means that companies that achieve positive
growth rates also achieve better business performance measured through profitability.
Keywords: return on assets, return on equity, asset growth, sales revenue growth.
